Welcome Ethan, our new Urban Ecology Intern!

January 16, 2017

I was born and raised in Sacramento, living here until I moved to Argentina for two years after high school. I currently am an undergraduate studying Environmental Geology at Brigham Young University - Idaho, but am back in Sacramento to gain experience at the Sacramento Tree Foundation.

I grew up very active in Scouting, receiving my Eagle Scout at a young age and spending as much time outdoors as I could. I've taken multiple backpacking expeditions and am an avid rock climber. All this exposure to nature helped my desire to protect it grow. My goal is to work in environmental protection, and my preferred way to do that is by education through appreciation. Here at the Foundation I work primarily with the Urban Ecology Department which allows me many opportunities to share my passion for protecting this earth by helping people do the same within their own communities.
