Want a beautiful, cooling tree in your yard but also want to save water and keep maintenance low? Or maybe you have trees but aren’t sure how to care for them?
Join the Sacramento Tree Foundation via Zoom with arborist Pamela Sanchez to learn about the best trees go hand in hand when you combine the right species with smart irrigation techniques and low-water landscapes, creating the perfect shady environment.
Pamela, an ISA Certified Arborist with a degree in Urban Forestry from UC Davis and over 10 years of experience, will show you how to create a cool, water-wise yard. Pamela’s passion for connecting people with their urban canopy makes this workshop a must!

Anyone! This event is open to the general public, you do not need any prior experience to join us and all skill levels are welcome.

About this event
At the Sacramento Tree Foundation, we steward our urban forest from seed to slab. With your help, we plant over 12,000 trees every year, but the work doesn’t stop there. Trees need regular care to thrive, especially for their first three years after planting. We provide free resources, workshops, and educational volunteer opportunities to teach people how to plant, water, prune, and care for their trees and ensure our urban forest thrives for generations to come.
