Water Wise Tree Care Workshop

August 26, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free
Join us to learn how to water your trees!

Save water and help your trees thrive at the same time. It’s possible when you learn smart irrigation techniques, the magic of mulch, and how low-water landscapes and shady trees are a perfect pair. Even with the winter rains, our summers are always hot and dry and these tips are useful every year for water savings and happy trees.

Please note: This event is free. Participants will not need to pay admission to MoSaC to attend the workshop. However, the parking lot at the museum requires payment.

Register now! The week before this event, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get to the site. You will receive this email ONLY if you are signed-up for this workshop.

About this project

At the Sacramento Tree Foundation, we steward our urban forest from seed to slab. With your help, we plant over 12,000 trees every year, but the work doesn’t stop there. Trees need regular care to thrive, especially for their first three years after planting. We provide free resources, workshops, and educational volunteer opportunities to teach people how to plant, water, prune, and care for their trees and ensure our urban forest thrives for generations to come.

This event is sponsored by SMUD, the Museum of Science and Curiosity, and the Transformative Climate Communities program for the River District.

If you have questions about caring for your trees or bringing a workshop to your neighborhood, please reach out to treetips@sactree.org.
