Volun-CHEERS for a successful 2023-24 planting season!

Each year, from October through April when the weather is most suitable for young trees to go into the ground, the Sacramento Tree Foundation hosts numerous volunteer tree planting events throughout the region. Thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of our dedicated volunteers and supporters, we wrapped up another tree-mendous planting season!

Growing a greener Folsom together

December was a busy month for SacTree and the City of Folsom. Alongside residents and volunteers, we planted 29 trees and 68 oak saplings throughout Folsom neighborhoods. See what efforts we’ve made to expand and care for Folsom’s tree canopy.

Growing the urban forest in Folsom

We’re teaming up with the City of Folsom to help grow and care for the urban forest in areas with low, aging, and new tree canopy and support neighbors in growing tree stewardship. We’re also excited for the opportunity to plant more native trees in Folsom’s open spaces.
