Rancho Cordova Bike Ride & Tree Tour
April 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeJoin the Sacramento Tree Foundation and Bike Lab on a nature bike ride starting at Hagan Community Park! We will be taking a ride through Rancho Cordova parks and neighborhood for a tour of trees and potentially see other native plants and animals along the way.
Please arrive at 9:15am for check-in and enjoy some refreshments and take care of any bike tune-ups prior to hitting the pavement.
We will be starting our ride at 10:00am, biking approximately 6 miles through Hagan Community Park (roughly 3 miles out and 3 miles back), where we can see the difference maturity of native oaks tree and visit past plantings.
Please note: Attendees must be able to travel via bicycle or a similar mode of transportation. Due to the distance and speed of travel, this event is not suitable for walking. Attendees must practice proper bicycle safety throughout the entirety of the event. All attendees under 18 years of age must use a bicycle helmet to participate in this event.
Register now! The week before this event, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get to the site. You will receive this email ONLY if you are signed-up for this planting.

About this project
At the Sacramento Tree Foundation, we work community members to support their visions of growing green neighborhoods. In Rancho Cordova, those visions have resulted in free stump removal, residential and community tree plantings, native tree reforestation, and educational tree care workshops with a focus on working in under-canopied communities.
Support for this event is provided by SMUD, Bike Lab, and the City of Rancho Cordova Community Enhancement Fund.
If you have questions about this initiative or would like to get more deeply involved, please contact Atina Diep, Community Liaison, at atina@sactree.org or (916) 974-4329.
