A dazzling spring show of red flowers and peeling bark make this a gorgeous addition to a landscape, but the leaves are the standout feature of this medium-sized tree. They come out reddish-purplish in spring, then dark green in summer, and then a reliable fall show with the leaves turning yellow, orange, and red.
